Is Allstate a good buy?
Allstate is ranked #3 on the TOP 50 ON SALE.
Yes, insurance is a boring business but it’s a GREAT business model. Homeowners insurance is required by law in all US states and Auto insurance is required by law in most US states. You have to love a business model that is mandated by law.
Insurance is also a recurring business model. As consumers we either pay premiums monthly, quarterly, or yearly. A business model with recurring cash flow is extremely important (Insurance, SaaS, Internet Service, Cell Phone Service, etc).
Allstate offers Home, Auto, Business, Motorcycle, Renters, RV, Term-Life insurance, and more. Good news with Allstate, they announced on July 8 they will buy National General Insurance for $4B which will increase Allstate’s market share. We love acquisitions like this!
Overall, Allstate has fantastic financials. With a score of 17/20, this is proof on how well Allstate is operating. With a share price of $94 and a sticker price of $303, this stock definitely has room to grow.
