Tip 17 How much time should you spend on investing per week?

Before we get into how much time you should spend on investing per week, I want to share another quote with you from Warren Buffett.

“Lethargy bordering on sloth remains the cornerstone of our investment style.”

Most people believe that to be successful at anything you need to work long hours over years if not decades.

With investing, you don’t work for money. In fact, it’s exactly the opposite. Money works for you. The power of compound interest is how you build wealth.

If you’re someone who is used to working hard and spending extensive hours on generating income, you will need to separate yourself from that type of thinking.

Seriously, I can’t stress this enough, you need to separate yourself from the concept of working hard.

I know it’s not easy but investing is a new discipline. You need to let your money work for you. Sit back, relax, and let the power of compound interest do the heavy lifting.

To answer the question, you can spend as much or as little time as you like.

In my case, I only spend about 15 – 30 minutes per week.

How I commonly use the platform every week:

  1. Browse for On Sale stocks
  2. Add more stocks to my watchlist
  3. Complete a few 4Ms
  4. Update my portfolio
  5. Set price alerts to monitor my stocks

That’s it!

If something happens with the stocks on my watchlist, I will be notified. I let Tykr do the hard work.
