You may be wondering how often you should listen to the news per week?
The news can be filled with emotions and emotions are the enemy of investing. The news is more of a tool for traders not investors like you or me.
This is going to sound crazy but I only check stock market news for about 15 minutes per day (Monday through Friday).
I do not let the news influence my buying decisions. I rely on Tykr to cut through the noise and see the truth.
Overall, paying attention to the news is a good way to keep your finger on the pulse of the market but I don’t let it control my behavior.
My favorite news sources include:
- Tykr
- BBC News (Global News)
- The Motley Fool Money Podcast
- CNBC
- Morning Brew email newsletter
